Employees not covered by an Award or Agreement

A very small number of employees are not covered by a modern award or the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2013 (VCEMEA), for example, Business Managers. These employees do not have an industrial instrument governing their terms and conditions that schools need to comply with. Certain terms and conditions of employment (e.g. leave entitlements, notice on termination of employment) are regulated by the National Employment Standards. The National Employment Standards are contained in the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and are available from the Fair Work Ombudsman website.
